THE FIRST LAUNCH OF MISS. ZAMBEZI 2008
 
The organizers are proud to announce the very first Miss. Zambezi 2008.  As everybody knows, the Zambezi area are overwhelmed with the excitement burst of growth and expansion. Zambezi will never be the same ! with new business centers on Zambezi and many housing projects that’s been seen around Zambezi we can almost call it our new Zambezi City ! The Zambezi area are well known for the sub-tropical and holiday atmosphere north of the Magalies Mountain. 
 
The Miss. Zambezi is a first ever to be held.  This promotion will not only be a first class beauty pageant, also will it be the Whole new promotional tool telling you all you want to know about the People of Zambezi.  We are proud to announce some of our sponsors who make this wonderful promotion possible.  This promotion will include the  community awareness of our old aged to a very large extend. They are our heritage and we are proud to honor them as special and blessed here on Zambezi. The uniqueness of this promotion is that we want all to be more aware of the people of Zambezi. 
 
Our website will allow you to vote for the following :  Zambezi Businessman Award, Senior Citizen Award, Zambezi Woman Today Award, Miss. & Mr. Primary schools award and lastly the Zambezi Fun Family Award.  Please read for further details for what criteria you should be looking at when voting for someone. The following beauty categories are available to enter, semi-finals will be held in February and March 2008 and the Finals at end the end of March 2008. The categories are : Little Miss. Petite, Miss. Junior Zambezi, Miss. Teen Zambezi, Miss. Zambezi.
 
CRITERIA TO FOLLOW ON VOTING FOR AWARD WINNERS & ENTER FOR MISS. ZAMBEZI
The community of Zambezi will nominate entrants for the following categories :
Send in your votes by providing us with the person you are voting for her/his name, contact details, his business name & address, his age and a short detailed message of not longer than 120 words, the award category and your own details. Send in a writing  telling us why she/he should win this award. If you have send in the name of a award winner you stand the chance to win a prize yourself.
Zambezi Businessman award : There are no age restrictions. If you know of a businessman here in the Zambezi are that are an exceptional, effective and prosperous businessman, adding to the growth and success story on Zambezi
Senior Citizen award : Vote for someone older than 60 that you know should win this award. Write in not more than 120 words why you vote for this person. Involvement in the Zambezi area should be demonstrated in your writing. 
Zambezi Woman Today : What will we be looking at: a woman older than 30 years. She may be a mother, a business woman, a beauty queen, someone who makes a difference in her home, at work, at her child’s school or in the community. She must demonstrate the values of marriage vows and family strengths. This is not an award for beauties only.
Miss./Mr. Zambezi Interschools award :
If your school has come up with a Mr./Miss. Winner last year send in your votes. It can be a Miss. Primary Schools winner, Miss./Mr. Stephanus Roos Primary school winner for example or Mr./Miss. Montana High school winner.
Zambezi Family Fun award :
Take your best Family photo, A4 size to the Photo Gallery next to oom Piet’s Slaghuis (on the other side of Zambezi where KFC corner is). Write contact details at the back of the photograph with a writing why this family are the best !

Little Miss Zambezi        : Girls 4 – 7 years
Miss. Junior Zambezi      : 8 – 11 years & 12 – 13 years
Miss. Teen Zambezi        : 13 – 17 years
Miss. Zambezi                :  18 – 25 years
RULES FOR ENTERING MISS. ZAMBEZI
An entry fee of R150 per entrant. 10% of the money will be donated to the project AdoptNGran on the evening of the Finals.
Girls who enter under the age of 12 years will not be allowed in any circumstance to wear make-up or any glitzy outfits. We want girls to be girls only.
Closing date for entries is 25 February 2008 at 15:00, all entries should be registered on our participation list on that day, no late entries will be taken in after this date. Entries can be send in to the competition website log? for entrants or to the entry boxes placed at shopping centres/businesses.
The panel of judges will be chosen and be introduced on the semi finals. Judges decision will be final. No correspondence will be corresponded with after the winners were announced. Please log in to the Prizes ???More information will be available from early January 2008.
All entries should be registered on our website, if you enter we will provide you with a entrant nr on receipt off. No entries will be registered or accepted without proof of payment.  Bank account details will be available from middle January 2008 (NO REFUNDS WHATSOEVER).

Their will be a contracted photographer available. Please order photographs after you have been chosen as a finalist and have received your participation for the finals. Be only allow photographers assigned for the Miss. Zambezi Promotion.
Clothes to wear for semi-finals : INFORMAL, no party wear !
Dates and venues for semi-finals will be provided on the website from mid January 2008.
Info about the Little Miss. Zambezi semi-finals
Entry forms can be found at BOSTON BARBEQUE or on the web site of Miss. Zambezi. Completed entry forms can be placed at the Entry box at Boston Barbeque (contact nr. 012 567-7152   543-0037).  Entrants can wear party wear ( no evening outfits). The semi-finals will be on 1 March 2008 at BOSTON BARBEQUE.  Finalists will be chosen on this morning and will receive a flower crown from the owner Stefan Engelbrecht. All semi-finalists will receive a Boston Barbeque welcome with bubbly cold drinks & balloons.   BOSTON BARBEQUE will also sponsor prizes for this category at the Finalé.
Specific rules for the Miss. Teen Zambezi & Miss. Zambezi category :   The semi-finals will start with audition /interviews, a head and shoulder photograph must be handed in & a beauty walk on the ramp to be completed.  The theme for dresscode : Africa (anything resembles the Africa feel can be demonstrated in the outfit).
Every winner, the first & second princess will each receive a sash and a crown sponsored by Lynndum Construction
