There are no game fences between Ngwenya and the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River forms

Trips from Ngwenya, through the Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp, to Lower Sabie and Satara Camps and back, or through Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp to Skukuza and Tsokwane rest camps, or a third day trip can be arranged through Crocodile Bridge, to Berg-en-Dal and Malelane and back to Ngwenya. It is in this area of the
Kruger National Park where the most prolific wild life can be experienced.
Tigerfish and Vundu in the Crocodile River
For fishing enthusiasts, permits can be obtained from the National Parks Board with special permission
to fish Tiger Fish and Vundu in the Crocodile and Komati Rivers. Fishing spots are not more than a
twenty minute drive away from the Ngwenya site.

Sail boating and water skiing is possible in dams which are all within one hour’s drive from the site.
Golfers are catered for at the Malelane golf course which is thirty five minutes away from Ngwenya.
The Piggs Peak Casino in the Kingdom of Swaziland is also within easy reach of the resort. The Swaziland border is only thirty five kilometres away from Ngwenya, where arts and crafts stalls with
native Swazi artefacts can be seen. There are numerous arts and crafts stalls on route between Nelspruit and White River.

Various wilderness hiking trails, under the guidance of a game ranger, can be booked within the Kruger
National Park where tourist can experience the African bush and enjoy the excitement of camping out in

With the Mozambique border becoming more accessible, trips to Maputo, approximately ninety kilometres
away, are a reality. This affords the discerning tourist the opportunity of game fishing, snorkelling
and scuba diving excursions along some of the most beautiful coral reefs along the east coast of
Africa.
Tour Sugar mills and Sudwala caves.
Tours to the sugar mills at both Komatipoort and Malelane can also be arranged. There are various game parks with hiking trials within the borders of Swaziland. The old mining town of Barberton, some ninety kilometres from the resort, will provide some insight into the historic past of that region.
The Sudwala caves and Montrose falls near Nelspruit can be undertaken as a day trip from the resort, with a visit to the “Craft Kraal” and crocodile ranch as part thereof.

Ngwenya Lodge is mainly a timeshare resort and accommodation only becomes available for rental if the
owners decide not to make use of it themselves and they also opt not to bank it with RCI. They have up
to 4 months prior to arrival to indicate this so availability can not be checked more than 4 months in
advance. For the same reason we do not accept 1 night bookings since it is then difficult to rent out
the remainder of the days for that timeshare week.
- Weeks run from one Friday to the next so bookings running over more than 1 timeshare week (including
a consecutive Thursday & Friday) are generally not available unless the same unit is not being used by
two consecutive owners and both of them decide not to bank their unit. Such bookings might be possible
if guests are prepared to move to another unit on the Friday.
