Camp Emeritus is all about One-on-Oneÿ?We strongly believe in allowing only one school at a time.?
Camp Emeritus is owned by Johan and Lindie Braak. In 2006 they bought a smallholding just outside Pretoria, in the Dinokeng area. In the short four years they have developed the terrain of 8,6 h whilst having school camps in mind. Gradually and with hard work the camp terrain took shape. The old barn was converted into a function/lecture hall, outside buildings into ablution blocks for kids, and an office building into a guesthouse. A huge dam was build with a lapa overlooking the dam. The camp terrain is child friendly, and students are visible at all times ? which makes supervision a pleasure.
Our mission is to live out Gods Kingdom by investing in the development of children. We focus on physical, emotional and spiritual development. We have a passion for developing leadership skills in our children. When a student leaves our camp, it is our aim to have build a stronger character into each and every student. Our motto is: Developing tomorrow?s leaders today. We have developed an extremely efficient leadership program based on the leadership-gaps experienced in South African schools. This is ground level leadership development. When we say we make a difference in a child?s life, THIS is how we make it. As a team we are very excited to shape tomorrows? leaders.
Emeritus is a boutique camp facility for children ? we are ?small? and specialised. We strongly believe in allowing only one school at a time on the terrain. This enables us to spend one-on-one time with children. Having only one school at a time, means that there is no conflict of interest in managing the separate groups. All the focus is on your school and on each and every student.
Camp Emeritus is a very affordable option for school because of two factors: our rates are very competitive; and we are situated only 15 km outside Pretoria, which brings down travel costs.
